Deputies: Victim shot at Clearwater nightclub

CLEARWATER, Florida (AP) - Authorities say someone was shot when a fight broke out as a Clearwater nightclub was closing.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office was investigating early Friday at the 24 Gentleman's Club.

Deputies say the person who was shot was not involved in the fight. They have not released the name of the victim, who was taken to the hospital. The victim's condition was not known.

A suspect has not been identified.

No further details were immediately available.

Reduced reclaimed water availability

Pinellas County, Florida--To alleviate the risk of running out of reclaimed water, action is being taken to reduce daily system demands. Beginning Friday, April 20, at 12:01 a.m., Pinellas County reclaimed water customers will have reclaimed water available two days per week for irrigation in 24-hour intervals beginning at 12:01 a.m.

Traffic delays possible during Iron Girl event

Clearwater, Florida -- Traffic delays are possible during the 2012 Iron Girl Event on Sunday, April 22, from 6 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Motorista should allow for extra time when traveling the Sand Key Area, Clearwater Beach, Memorial Causeway, and downtown Clearwater.

Due to the run route, there may be temporary closures on Chestnut Street and Court Street at Ft. Harrison, and Coronado, between S Gulfview and the Roundabout.

City conducting smoke testing for sewer lines

Clearwater, Florida -- Starting this week, crews from the Clearwater Public Utilities Department will begin smoke testing of wastewater sewer system lines to determine if there are any areas where stormwater or groundwater is entering the system.

The boundary area to be surveyed is north of Drew Street, west of Fort Harrison Avenue, east of Clearwater Harbor, and north to Sunset Point Road.
