Clearwater, Florida -- Frenchy's Sugar Sand Festival has begun!

Team Sandtastic has already begun to sculpt .1,000 tons of Clearwater Beach's world famous sugar sands into into the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit, an artistic walk-through display in a 10,000-square-foot tent.

Clearwater beach, Florida - The final installment of the 'Twilight' vampire series is Saturday's free movie at Pier 60 Park. It will take place on April 6.

'Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2' begins just after sunset.

Friday, April 5, the movie is 'Cars 2.'

Beach to mark start of Dolphins Trail

Clearwater, Florida - A life-sized steel dolphin at Clearwater Beach will mark the start of the Dolphins Trail made popular after a pod of some 40 colorfully-decorated statues popped up at Pier 60 last summer, the city and Regional Chamber of Commerce said.

The city and Chamber will unveil the dolphin Friday, March 22, morning, and also announce the locations of four more dolphins to be placed outside the Tampa Bay area in heavy tourist areas.

They've scheduled a news conference for Pier 60 Park, where the 6-foot tall fiberglass dolphins debuted.

Art competition for 38th Annual Mainsail Art Festival

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Student artists in grades K-12 are invited to compete for a chance to exhibit their artwork at the 38th Annual Mainsail Art Festival.

The festival will take place on April 20-21, 2013 in downtown St. Petersburg. The Young at Art Student Competition has been a part of Mainsail for 11 years and is a juried exhibition open to all public and private school students in Pinellas County.

Bollywood moves fitness program to be held at Clearwater Library

Clearwater, Florida -- Anyone who wants to learn how to dance like they are in a popular Indian movie can now just go to the library.

The Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave., invites the public to take part in a series of fun fitness classes that will be offered on Mondays from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., beginning next week.
