More dolphins join artistic project in Clearwater | Arts & Culture

Clearwater Beach, Florida -- The creatively decorated dolphins that ringed Pier 60 Park have found new homes. And new ones are on the way.

The fiberglass statues were sponsored by various businesses on and off the beach, and now have been relocated to the site of their sponsors. To find them, you have to follow the dolphin trail on a website set up for that purpose.

The project was developed by the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce and the city, and is far from over.

This week, 30 new dolphins will be arriving in Clearwater. Local artists will decorate the new dolphins to reflect their sponsors, and they will join the original 50 on the dolphin trail.
