Hotel clerk charged with molesting drunk woman | Crime

Clearwater Beach, Florida - A hotel clerk is under arrest on charges he fondled a 21-year-old woman who police said was highly intoxicated.

Jason Rapp, 36, of Clearwater, was charged with sexual battery on a physically helpless person.

Police said the incident occurred around midnight Sunday at Shephard's Beach Resort on South Gulfview Boulevard.

"The victim was brought into the front desk area by security after she was discovered on the property and determined to be highly intoxicated," police stated. "While waiting for a taxi cab, the suspect, who is employed by the hotel as a front desk clerk, fondled the victim."

Police say another person witnessed the incident and contacted them right away.

Rapp was booked into the Pinellas County jail and held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
