TriRock Triathlon coming to Clearwater Beach | Events

Clearwater Beach, Fla. -- Another marathon is coming to Clearwater Beach.

The Land Rover TriRock triathlon, created by the organizers of the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series, will be held Nov. 9-11.

The event includes Swim Buddies for the water portion, bands along the roace course and an end-of-race concert on the sand.

"TriRock will include both an Olympic distance (5150) for the more experienced athlete and a sprint course. Competitors will experience a swim in the water off Clearwater Beach and a scenic course highlighted by the Memorial Causeway Bridge and a trip down Gulf Blvd," organizers stated.

"The City of Clearwater has accommodated a number of triathlon events in the past, so it was a natural fit," said Sports Commissioner Kevin Smith.

A free health and fitness expo will precede the race in Pier 60 Park, and those who cross the red carpet finish line can have free refreshments and breakfast.
