Deadline to request mail ballot for March 13 Municipal Elections | News
Pinellas County, Fla. -- Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark announces that 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 is the deadline to request a ballot be mailed for the March 13 Municipal Elections.
After that deadline, voters may still pick up a ballot at any Supervisor of Elections office and vote it in the office or return the voted ballot by mail or in person. All ballots must be received in any of the three Elections Offices by 7 p.m. Election Day.
Nine municipalities will conduct elections on March 13: Belleair, Belleair Beach, Gulfport, Indian Shores, Madeira Beach, Pinellas Park, Seminole, Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach.
All elections are voted at-large, except for Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach.
For the Treasure Island Commissioner Districts 2 and 4 races, only registered voters residing in District 2 (Precinct 407) and District 4 (Precinct 409) are eligible to vote in their respective districts. For the St. Pete Beach Commissioner District 1 Runoff, only registered voters residing in District 1 (Precinct 405) are eligible to vote.
No candidate in the January 31 St. Pete Beach Commissioner District 1 race received a majority (more than 50 percent) of the votes cast, so the municipal charter requires a runoff election to be held for the two candidates receiving the most votes.
To request a mail ballot or for more information, call (727) 464-VOTE (8683) or visit www.votepinellas.com.
