8 candidates qualify for County Judge | News
Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark has announced eight candidates completed their qualifying requirements for County Judge during last week’s qualifying period. All candidates qualified by filing the required documents and paying a qualifying fee.
Following are the 2012 qualified candidates for County Judge:
Scott Andringa, Group 2
Cathy Ann McKyton, Group 2
Donald E. Horrox, Group 5
Myra Scott McNary, Group 7
Walt Fullerton, Group 9
William H. Overton, Group 11
Lorraine M. Kelly, Group 16
Susan Bedinghaus, Group 17
Statewide, the qualifying period for all judicial, state attorney and public defender candidates began at noon Monday (April 16) and ended at noon today (April 20). Candidates for circuit judge, state attorney and public defender qualify with the Division of Elections.
The two candidates for County Judge Group 2 will appear on the August 14 Primary Election ballot. Unopposed candidates will not appear on the ballot and will become elected automatically. Judicial races are nonpartisan, so all Pinellas County registered voters are eligible to vote in judicial races.
