The Pinellas Transit Alternatives Analysis Team, in partnership with Pinellas County, held its fourth eTownHall Jan. 18, in the final phase of its study on the future of Pinellas County’s transit.

This virtual, telephone, and televised event focused on light rail transit, the study recommendation for a transit project connecting St. Petersburg to the Greater Gateway area and Clearwater, with a regional connection across Tampa Bay to Hillsborough County.

Clearwater Beach, Florida -- The roundabout is getting a facelift next week.

The city is resurfacing the beach entryway starting 7 p.m. Sunday. The work - milling and resurfacing - will be done during the night hours, and should be completed by Friday morning.

"This is routing maintenance to the roundabout's pavement that will extend the life of the roadway, which is 12 years old," said Tara Kivett, the city's Construction Manager.

Phones will be ringing and bloggers will be blogging across Pinellas County on Wednesday, Jan. 18, as the Pinellas Transit Alternatives Analysis Team, in partnership with Pinellas County, reaches out to the public in the final phase of its transit study to discuss the future of Pinellas County’s transit.
