City, CMA staff to work on Harborview space for Winter | Urban Wildlife

Clearwater, Florida - City staff will work with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to see whether the home of Winter the amputee dolphin can use part of the Harborview Center, the city council decided Thursday night.
The aquarium is in the middle of an expansion program and the feature film about Winter hits theaters next month. CMA is concerned there will not be enough parking and exhibit space to meet the visitor demand they expect in the wake of the movie's publicity.
The aquarium wants to use a portion of the Harborview Center for perhaps two years.
The city council planned to shut the building but in view of the request it directed staff to explore what needs to be done to the building to accommodate CMA, what it will cost, and whether and how the aquarium would pay for capital improvements and operating expenses.
